What’s your sexy?
Do you know what your sexy is? This is a topic that’s come up in friend chatter lately.. and as Valentine’s Day approaches, I thought why not put it out there. Sexy is such an individual thing. One person’s sexy can be so different from another’s and there’s really no right or wrong. But understanding what you feel most sexy in can help you in those moments when you want to bring your sexy out!
I like to go by what I think looks sexy on myself but also what I feel most sexy in. I personally love tops that are super low cut, and I still like wearing shorter skirts when balanced out with what’s on top, a high slit in a longer dress can add major sex appeal as well. And sometimes it’s just what’s underneath it all 😉
It’s interesting in the dating world too… what one man finds sexy might be the total opposite to another’s opinion. A client and friend was recently having a dilemma, she was dating a man whose idea of sexy was completely different than hers. He was hoping she’d try something short, tight and shiny. That look was not her style and way out of her comfort zone. I encouraged her to think about what she’d feel most sexy in.. maybe try a few of her own versions of
sexy to see his reaction, and also to maybe find a version of what he likes to try one time, just to show her openness and to see if she enjoyed the evening out in that way. I would apply the same rules in a marriage as well.
Pushing ourselves out of our comfort zone at times could be fun with the right mindset. There’s always room to try something new and the space to go back to what you love, but you really don’t know unless you give it a go.
While we don’t want to change ourselves for someone, and we want people to meet us where we’re at, I’m still all for testing the water of something new if it’s appearing in front of us. And especially remembering to get out of heads, have fun and enjoy the moment!
Sexy is a dance, as are most things in life, try something new, step forward a bit, step back if you want.. and on it goes.
Mantra I live by… always leave something to the imagination!
My sexy go to’s:
1. Plunging v necks
2. Blouses unbuttoned just a bit lower
3. Go a little tighter than usual
4. Throw on a sexy heel
5. A shorter skirt with sexy stockings
6. Show a drop of skin in a dress or top
7. Wear something sexy underneath it all
8. Be confident and love yourself!! That’s the sexiest of all!
This is how I navigate the unknown of sexy, I hope you do whatever you’re comfortable with! And stay true to you!!
With love,
Staci
